Yoko Iida is a studio artist who lives and works in Pasadena, California. Born and raised in Japan, she grew up in a creative family focused on art and design. 

Yoko holds a BFA from ArtCenter College of Design in Fine Art /Design track and MFA from University of Southern California in Fine Art. Over the years, she has participated in many artist in residency programs throughout the world, influencing her approach to incorporate ways of living and memory into her work.

Working from her Pasadena studio, currently she creates unique, limited objects that vary from vases to everyday objects such as bowls, platters and planters. 

Pieces are typically wheel thrown and/or hand built. Wares are food safe unless noted otherwise. Yoko’s work is tactile and has a warm connected feeling. Works are one of a kind.

Since 2014, she is faculty at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California, where she teaches foundation studio classes focused on materials and processes and three dimensional form making.
